Log Chute Trail| Length: | 500m | | Rating: | easy | | Duration: | .5 | | Description: | The construction of this 500 m trail completes the 1st phase of the Log Chute Trail. This lovely little trail features beautiful views of the Kennisis River and, of course, the one-of-a-kind Hawk Lake Log Chute. Future trail plans include interpretive displays and a suspension bridge over the river leading to more scenic lookouts atop the rugged river gorge. When complete, the trail will be 1 km in length and link to the Crests of Kennisis hiking trail.

Directions: At Halls Lake, take Little Hawk Lake Rd (County Rd 13) and proceed to Big Hawk Lake Rd (approx. 5 km). Turn left onto Big Hawk Lake Rd and continue to the Historic Log Chute – parking is available alongside the road or at a small parking lot adjacent the Log Chute Park.
