Drag River Trail

Description:
From street level, the trail leads down a stairway to an observation deck overlooking Bailey’s dam. It then winds its way along the river, crosses Maple St. and continues into Head Lake Park. The trail ends at the mouth of the Drag River. Interpretive signs highlight the area’s logging history and the rehabilitation of the river for walleye. To extend your walk, continue along the Head Lake Trail.

Directions: The trail begins at the Highland Street Bridge in the village of Haliburton. Parking is available along Highlands St. and in the public parking lot off York St.
