Moosewoods Ski Trails| Length: | 18 km | | Rating: | easy to challenging | | Description: | The trails wind their way through gently rolling wooded hills and around beaver swamps. These trails are excellent for beginners who can try a loop as short as 3.3 km with the option of adding additional distance along the way. Advanced skiers can get an endurance workout with repeated laps of the full 11.6 km loop. There is an option to cut off the last loop (which has exposed climbs on the hydro line) making it a 10.4 km ski back to the warm-up hut. There is a large warm-up hut at the entrance and three smaller huts en route. Privy toilets are also conveniently located at the entrance and along the routes.
Cost: A daily Haliburton Nordic Skiing Association ski pass ($10) or season’s pass is required. A self-registration box is also located at the entrance.
Directions: MooseWoods Ski Centre is located on County Rd 14. Parking is located on the east (right) side of County Rd 14 as you head towards Eagle Lake. The trailhead is on the west side of the road.
