| Description: | Glebe Park features four separate loops that provide some of the best classic and skate skiing in the county. The Peter Rabbit and the West Loop are moderately difficult trails - the Sam Slick loop is quite challenging. Beginners and experts alike will enjoy the 1 km “Lit Loop” open every night to 10 pm (free of charge after 5 pm). The Park also hosts numerous competitions throughout the season.
Cautions: To avoid collisions, you must ski in a COUNTER CLOCKWISE direction for all loops EXCEPT the Peter Rabbit Loop.
Cost: A daily Haliburton Nordic Skiing Association ski pass ($10) or season’s pass is required. A self-registration box is located at the main trail entrance. Passes are also available at the Museum (open Wednesday to Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm) and at Lakeview Motel.
Directions: Parking is available at the Haliburton Highlands Museum on Bayshore Acres Rd and at Sir Sandford Fleming College via Industrial Park Road. The trail system may also be accessed via Lakeview Motel, 6 km outside Haliburton on Hwy 21.
