Get Involved

As an umbrella organization, the Haliburton Highlands Trails and Tours Network (HHTTN) has brought together a large network of stakeholders, including members from trail and tour organizations, landowners, permanent and seasonal residents, trail and tour users, community organizations and businesses. This community of diverse interests has found a shared purpose in the Network's vision: to develop the Haliburton Highlands as a premiere trails and tours destination, and we need your help in fulfilling that vision. As we are a volunteer organization we rely on community financial support to move forward with our projects. We prepared this letter, have fundraising events and are not shy about asking for your support.

Government and community grants, as well as individual and business donations allowed us to complete the following community projects over the past year:

• 3 Information Kiosks which are truly natural works of art
• 2 brochures, one promoting County-wide trails and the second promoting cycling routes
• Development of a trail template that will provide consistency in trail standards and signage
• Development of a trail inventory base
• Clean up of the County Rail Trail
• Re-designed the Trails and Tours Network's Web site
• The first and second of a series of Web Site Development Workshops
• A long range plan that will ensure the Network's sustainability
