X Country Ski

Haliburton Highlands is known as one of Ontario's best cross-country ski destinations, and boasts 9 high quality trail systems. More than 200 km of Nordic trails feature grooming for skate and classic patterns, backcountry skiing, and a 1.5 km lit loop for night skiing. In addition, many trails have warm-up shelters with stoves and firewood along their trails. Cross-country ski trails provide users with access to rugged terrain, mixed hardwood forests, majestic stands of white pine and hemlock, cliff top lookouts and frozen waterfalls that would normally be inaccessible in the wintertime. The Haliburton Nordic Trails Association, Ski Friends of the Frost Centre, Silent Lake Provincial Park, Call of the Wild and Nordic Inn all maintain the trails.

Silent Lake Provincial Park – The following day use fees apply. $8.90 per person 18 and over, $4.45 per person age 6 to 17, $26.75 per family, or $7.10 per person Ontario Senior.

Nordic Inn Trails - Are free to be used. The owners ask that you sign in at the Inn’s Office before embarking on the trail system.

Frost Centre Trails - The Frost Centre accepts Haliburton Nordic Trail Season Passes. To ski the Trails an Adult Day Pass is $10.00. The Frost Centre does have a half-day pass beginning after 2:00pm for $7.00.
