BikeThere are more than 350 km of mountain biking trails in the Highlands, all offering possibilities that range from beginner single-track trails to physically- and technically- challenging trails.
Routes have been designed for broad-tired bicycles such as hybrid, mountain or touring bikes, and a variety of paved routes along county roads and highways provide a different perspective. There are limited roads with shoulders here, so riders should exercise caution.
There are also trails, such as the Wildcat Trail, that treat riders to a variety of access road riding and wide, flat off-road trails.
Haliburton Forest and Wildlife Reserve, Nordic Inn Trails, Silent Lake Provincial Park and Algonquin South offer a good selection for bikers All sites have user fees, except for The Nordic Inn.
